Lack of Hip-Shoulder Separation: The primary mechanical flaw is the near-simultaneous rotation of the hips and shoulders. This is caused by an open stride and an aggressive glove-side pull, which severely limits the creation of torque and elastic energy, thus capping velocity potential.
Inefficient Front Side Bracing: The lead leg fails to stabilize and firm up at landing. The bent knee absorbs force that should be transferred up the kinetic chain, acting as a ‘power leak’ and reducing the effectiveness of the entire delivery.
Postural Instability and Direction: The delivery is characterized by significant lateral trunk tilt and an early head pull. This loss of posture and direction forces the arm to work harder, increases injury risk, and makes consistent command difficult.
