The hips and shoulders rotate together, which significantly limits the ability to store and release elastic energy. This ‘all-at-once’ rotation reduces potential velocity and places more stress on the arm.
Inefficient Lower Half Mechanics: The combination of an open stride, a rotational back leg, and a soft front knee results in poor energy transfer from the ground up. Power generated by the lower body is lost instead of being efficiently channeled into the throw.
Postural Instability (Head Pull): The aggressive pulling of the head and upper body to the glove side disrupts posture, can affect command, and alters the deceleration path. Maintaining head stability on the target longer will improve consistency and balance.
